DBNTM cares about our furry friends! DBNTM partner Chris Harris, board president for C.A.R.E.4Paws in Santa Barbara County, was recently part of the C.A.R.E.4Paws executive team presented with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition by U.S. Rep. Salud Carbajal. The non-profit organization was recognized for providing critical services to our community since 2009, and in particular, for their extraordinary efforts to support and care for pets and their owners during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The goal of C.A.R.E.4Paws, “…is to reduce pet overpopulation and ensure that pets don’t suffer or end up in local shelters because of a lack of resources in the family” says executive director and cofounder Isabelle Gullo. During COVID-19 in 2020, C.A.R.E.4Paws significantly ramped up their pet care efforts and provided hundreds more free spay and neuter surgeries and veterinary care for dogs and cats in their mobile clinic, and distributed four tons of pet food weekly to assist low-income, senior, disabled, and homeless pet owners in the Santa Barbara County.
Thank you Chris Harris for the “pawsitive” impact you are making in our community through your work with C.A.R.E.4Paws!
