Experience
Rick began his accounting career in 1971 and in 1973 joined the Santa Barbara office of the international accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co. He was certified in 1976 and promoted to Tax Manager in 1977. In 1982, Rick joined Earl Damitz and Thomas H. Brooks to form the current Firm.

In public accounting since 1971, Rick provides sophisticated tax and accounting services to individuals, businesses, trusts and estates and non-profit organizations. Areas of emphasis include litigation support, accounting and taxation of individuals, family/closely-held businesses, real estate development and construction, and taxation of estates and trusts. Rick also serves as trustee and executor on numerous trusts and estates and has been extensively involved with trust and estate administration.
