Jim has over 25 years experience consulting with closely-held and family-owned businesses. He assists businesses in selecting the proper entity structure, cash flow analysis, financial reporting, strategic business and tax planning, and analysis of business acquisition and sales transactions.
Jim works with companies and their employees in compensation and benefits planning. He has extensive experience in tax and financial planning for employee ESPP, ISO and non-qualified stock option plans. His practice includes real estate developers, contractors and brokers, professional services and manufacturing industries.
He has provided expert testimony in civil cases involving marital property disputes, partnership accounting, calculation of foregone wages, and accounting for capital transactions.
